Because you deserve to express yourself. It feels good. For fun. Music is a healthy outlet. Play music when you’re feeling down and play music when you feeling up. Every human is capable of musical expression.
Jacob will match your enthusiasm and make learning music/your instrument fun and easy! He has a track record for success with student like you.
-
Jacob will make it a priority to get to know you and clarify your personal music needs and goals. A seven-year-old at their first guitar lesson will have very different needs from a fifty-seven-year-old taking up piano for the second time after taking lessons as a child. Jacob is extremely sensitive to each student’s individual musical needs. Exercises and drills will be created that will address each short coming discovered along the way. It’s all about setting achievable short term goals and then working your way through the process.
-
Anything with a guitar emphasis that you are interested in, from rock to blues, jazz to funk, pop to country, folk to classical! Jacob will use what ever you’re interested in to make studies and drills for your development.
If you’re not sure what kind of music you like, no problem! Jacob will work with you to figure that out together.
-
Enjoy music daily! Progress is a result of priority. Anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours a day depending on your ability to organize it into your daily schedule. You can even break up your work into 5-15 minute intervals throughout the course of the day!
Logging your practice routine in your lesson notebook is a great way to nurture consistency. Bring your notebook to every lesson to help keep track of progress and review with Jacob.
-
Yes, your lesson will be on the same day and at the same time each week.
